Director of Major Gifts. Development and Fund Raising in Tiffin, OH

Heidelberg University seeks an experienced development officer with proven success in prospect development, major gift solicitation andstewardship/donor relations. Reporting to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement & University Relations and working closelywith the President, s/he will develop programs and strategies to identify, cultivate, track, and solicit alumni, parents, foundations,corporations, and friends of Heidelberg for significant gifts to fund the Academic Comprehensive Campaign for Excellence (ACCE) and/or otherinstitutional priorities. S/he will manage relationships will approximately 100 prospective donors and will work collaboratively with and insupport of volunteers and other development staff toward achieving success within the Strategic Action Plan. As a member of the VicePresident's senior management team, this position will also be a significant contributor to the planning, organization, and strategicimplementation of other key initiatives to secure ongoing financial resources for the university, including leadership toward thedevelopment of future campaigns. The successful candidate will possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited collegeor university. An advanced degree, however, is preferred. A proven record of at least six to eight years of demonstrated major gift success($25,000+) is desired, preferably in a higher education setting.
